Kassie is a leading dog behaviour specialist in Surrey. She grew up around dogs and has always had a keen interest in how dogs think and why they do what they do.
She has been professionally training dogs in Surrey since 2014, and founded Surrey Dog Behaviour in 2016.
Kassie is also a full member of the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and is a full CCAB (Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist), as well as being a member of the Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians.
After competing her BSc in Bioveterinary Science from the prestigious Royal Veterinary College, she went on to complete her Masters degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour and The University of Lincoln.
Kassie also has a certificate in Veterinary Education at the Royal Veterinary College and is a fellow with the Higher Education Academy.
Since then she has gone on to develop a mentoring programme for those hoping to join the behaviour and training industry which has been in high demand since its launch in 2018.
She is also a guest lecturer at the Royal Veterinary College, teaching in dog training and behaviour.
Kassie can also be seen running the Obedience Ring at the popular DogFest shows across the country, giving advice on all aspects of pet dog training, ownership and troubleshooting behavioural problems.
In her spare time, she can be found exploring the countryside with her Labs, Archie and Flo, and partaking in agility, gundog and trick training.
Archie - owned by Kassie - is a rescue chocolate Labrador.
Archie came to Kassie as a nervous and undersocialised 10 month old dog with trust issues.
Through lots of hard work and dedication from both Kassie and Archie, he is now a fantastic, enthusiastic and happy young man!
Archie enjoys training in sports such as agility, gundog tests and scentwork, his favourite sport is dock diving in which he competes!
Flo is the latest addition to the Surrey Dog Behaviour clan, and a cracking little working Labrador Retriever.
So far, Flo LOVES gundog work and tricks, and we aim to compete in working tests and competitive scentwork!
Stay tuned to watch her progress!
