Working Gundog Certificate Workshop
Working through the skills needed for the working gundog certificate
Service Description
The Working Gundog Certificate is all about the skills needed to progress your dogs gundog career. The certificate is geared towards dogs who wish to compete or go on shoots, but this training workshop isn’t exclusive to these dogs. Anyone who is looking for something fun and challenging to work on with their dog is more than welcome. There are no breed or age restrictions, but a solid retrieve, basic steadiness, heelwork and happiness to work within a group are required. Areas of focus include hunting, mark, memory and blind retrieves, water retrieves off-lead heelwork and steadiness. Run by a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist, this workshop stands apart from other gundog workshops as it is geared towards supporting your dogs emotions alongside their learning to ensure they are getting the very best out of the session. At the end of the session, there will be a Q&A where we can discuss any areas you feel need a bit more support, things you found helpful as well as devising an individualised plan to help you pass the Working Gundog Certificate. This workshop runs from 10am to 3pm with a lunch break in the middle. All workshops are held at Smyths Farm, Worldham Hill, Old Worldham, Bordon, Hampshire, GU34 3AT
